Weiss Premium Services
Standards of Practice

In recent years, Weiss Research has instituted a series of additional company-wide standards of practice to ensure that our products and services are built upon a foundation of excellence. These include:

Trading History Weiss Research publishes various premium services designed to help investors trade stocks and options. For each of these, Weiss Research provides a 12-Month Trading History on our websites. These trade-by-trade performance records are substantiated by documents provided to Weiss Research by the brokers of Weiss Research subscribers. The subscribers’ names and account numbers are redacted to protect their privacy.
Compliance Department Weiss Research’s Compliance Department, established in 2002, is responsible for checking the accuracy and fairness of all marketing materials prior to publication. It is also responsible for maintaining and reviewing the performance records of Weiss Research publications and services. With the support of these ongoing internal reviews, the performance of Weiss Research’s Premium Services has improved substantially.
Performance Monitoring To help monitor and improve the performance of our Premium Services analysts, Weiss Research regularly maintains estimates of the results of each of our investment recommendations. Until these estimates can be substantiated, they are reserved for internal use only.

Weiss Research has continually made — and will continue to make improvements to our products and services.

Standards of Practice and Quality Assurance in Place Since 1990s or Earlier

Since the 1990s or earlier, Weiss Research has also adhered to the following standards:

Factual Publishing Weiss Research has always maintained a fact-checking function to (a) verify the veracity of all facts and figures cited in our advertisements, issues and reports prior to publication, and (b) maintain a back-up file with the documentation for each. Weiss Research corrects any meaningful errors by publishing an errata.
Full Risk Disclosure Weiss Research discloses to all prospects and subscribers the risk level of each investment. For example, with respect to the purchase of options, Weiss has warned all subscribers that losses are entirely possible and that, generally speaking, 80% of options expire worthless.
Guarantee Weiss Research guarantees customer satisfaction for all our products and services. All customers are entitled to a pro-rated refund at any time, and no such request is ever denied.
Personal Securities
Transactions
Weiss Research maintains a strict Personal Securities Transaction (PST) policy whereby the company, its employees and its consultants are restricted from buying securities recommended in its publications.
Remuneration and Gifts Weiss Research principals and employees are not permitted to accept gifts or remuneration of any kind from financial institutions, publicly traded companies or any other entity that is the subject of its analyses or investment recommendations.
Technical and
Fundamental Analysts
Weiss Research employs (a) specialists who focus primarily on fundamental analysis such as macro-economic trends and company financial statements, as well as (b) specialists who focus mostly on technical analysis, such as stock price movements and other market timing indicators. Weiss Research’s fundamental analysts are required to have market-specific experience and knowledge, while technical analysts are required to have experience with market timing tools that can be applied across many markets.
Trading Assistants Each editor of a premium service is either (a) required to have market-timing experience or (b) is assigned a trading assistant with market-timing experience. Depending on their skills and performance, the trading assistants may sometimes be given some autonomy in suggesting or making trading recommendations.
